If you’ve been following the women in space tumblr (like I told you to) then you’ll know today marks fifty years since Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space.
This is the first time I’ve really used my cel paints for months. The LNWC film was pretty much digitally-made and the background painting style for “Song of the sea” is very loose watercolour with a lot of digital compositing. It’s been ages since I did a painting that just had to be a finished painting and I can’t believe how rusty I’ve become. Anyway, this is one of two paintings I did today and I’ve a few more planned all on the same theme.
No surprises.
